Description

About time I have a Legend of Zelda picture in my gallery! I've loved the series ever since I picked up the Gameboy Color as a child.

One thing I love about the series is Link's devotion to Zelda and duty. Even when his duty is suddenly thrust upon him, he performs to the best of his abilities. Not only does he devote one lifetime to this, but many through his predecessors and kin. I wanted to show Link and Zelda's relationship in a more serious light, thus using their Twilight Princess personas. I also wanted to use the Master Sword because I believe it can be seen as a physical representation of their bond.

This picture was started 2 years ago; I found it going through old art and decided to finish it.

EDIT: Changed the bg, edited the sword, and edited Link's face

Hi To-Ka-Ro!
Here is my critique for you:
I absolutely love the idea of the picture, even though I never really played Legend of Zelda (but i heard a lot about it). I'm very impressed by your use of watercolor pencils, because i'm trying them out too at the moment, and i know how difficult it can be. I also think you showed a good hand in the color choice, because it looks flashy enough for a game inspired picture, but at the same time stern enough to be taken seriously.
However, to me the nose of link looks a bit strange, somehow to... heavy or so. I don't know how to describe it better ^^ And i think that the stroke at the left side of the mouth looks somewhat odd.
For the background: I think it looks quite nice without background, but if you really want to make one, i would suggest a dark green wood theme, or just one, maybe a bit shaded, color. But you should really be careful, because if you take the wrong color, the picture itself might lose some of its impact.
Over all, its a great picture, and I hope my critique helped you a bit ^^
